ABOUT

Paige Gardiner is a criminal defence lawyer.

She is grateful to practice across the territories of the Katzie, Kwantlen, Kwikwetlem, Matsqui, Musqueam, Qayqayt, Semiahmoo, Squamish, Tsawwassen and Tsleil-Waututh, among others. Paige is Cree, from her maternal family.

Paige accepts cases at all levels of court in British Columbia: Provincial Court, Supreme Court and the Court of Appeal.

Her practice areas are criminal defence and prison law.

She represents clients in a variety of matters, including but not limited to: violent offences, drug offences, weapons offences, property offences and driving offences/violations. She acts as co-counsel in murder cases. In her prison law practice, she primarily acts in parole matters.

She practices across Metro Vancouver and the Fraser Valley. On a case by case basis, she accepts matters in other jurisdictions, including but not limited to: the Squamish-Lillooet Regional District, the Sunshine Coast Regional District, the Vancouver Island/Coast Region and the Thompson-Okanagan Region.

Paige completed her Juris Doctor Degree at the University of British Columbia. She also has a B.A. in Criminology. She articled to a well known Vancouver defence firm and remained as an associate for some time. She completed a temporary articling term at the Indigenous Community Legal Clinic in the Vancouver Downtown Eastside and previously worked in various positions at the UBC Innocence Project (wrongful conviction). During the pandemic, she acted in a temporary position at Prisoners’ Legal Services with a focus on exceptional/early release applications in federal institutions.

She is a member of the Canadian Bar Association and the Criminal Defence Advocacy Society.
